We took a party of 50 people to visit the Valor Chocolate Factory in Villajoyosa. It was a guided visit and Ramona explained the history of chocolate, how it came to be in Spain and the family run business that started many many years ago. It started out as a drink and eventually became the
gorgeousness that we love today!!, We had time to buy some items and even try some items.
Then we got back on the coach and our driver Pepe took us to the Turron Museum in Jijona. This was another excellent guided tour by a family member and we were stunned to find out that Turron has been made in Jijona since 1645.
Again we were able to buy some Turron at their shop. Pepe was waiting patiently in the coach to take us on for lunch in El Campello at La Cova Restaurant in a stunning location overlooking the Marina. We had an excellent 3 course lunch with wine and water included and a very good time was had – I believe by all. We went back to Moraira where the day had started and were dropped off at La Senieta.
