Eladio Calleja (1931-1985): Artist, sculptor and poet.
Eladio Calleja was born in Javea, but his desire for adventure and to meet people led him to travel to many different parts of the world. During his life-time he had a number of solo exhibitions of his paintings in Europe and South America. He was of Bohemian character – a most gregarious individual, even called by some a hedonist. This presentation will give an account of his life and examine some of the paintings, drawings and sculptures for which he was internationally renowned.
