Margaret March

Nomination for post of President U3A Moraira-Teulada

Candidate: Margaret March

I wish to put forward my candidacy for the position of President of U3A Moraira-Teulada. With extensive experience in U3A administration and a strong background in management, I am confident in my ability to effectively lead and support the continued success of this vibrant organization.
Currently, I serve as Vice President of U3A Javea, having previously held the roles of Secretary and IT Support for a combined period of five years. These positions have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the operations, responsibilities, and challenges involved in running a U3A association.
In my professional career, I worked in the Civil Service for over 30 years, retiring as a Senior Manager specializing in Personnel Management. During this time, I gained substantial experience in leading and managing diverse teams, cultivating effective interpersonal relationships, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key skills and qualifications I bring to this role include:
Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead teams, implement strategic initiatives, and inspire confidence in others.
Financial Stewardship: Expertise in managing significant financial resources responsibly, ensuring prudent use of organizational funds.
IT Proficiency: Advanced skills in IT, including website management, word processing, and spreadsheet management, enabling efficient communication and administration.
Public Speaking: A competent and confident public speaker, capable of representing U3A professionally in diverse settings.

I believe strongly in the values of lifelong learning and community engagement that U3A represents. As President, I aim to foster inclusivity, support innovation in activities, and ensure the association continues to meet the needs of its members effectively.
