CUENCA
Tuesday 25th – Thursday 27th March 2025
We will leave at about 8.30 am from La Senieta for the drive to Cuenca arriving in time for lunch in our hotel. The journey is roughly 3.5 hours so we will stop for coffee in Torrente. We will be staying in the Leonara de Aquitaine Hotel which although three star, has been recommended by a member of the travel team who has stayed there before. It is a comfortable and clean hotel and located conveniently for the sights. We have the afternoon at leisure and meet up for a welcome drink in the bar in early evening.

On the 27th March after leaving the hotel we will travel to La Cuidad Encantada. After exploring this fascinating area we will drive to Bunol for lunch stopping for coffee on the way.
We hope to arrive back in Moraira in the early evening.
Price per person in a double room 238 euros each with a single room supplement of 53 euros.
The price includes the coach fare, breakfast in the hotel, a welcome drink and two lunches.

Cuenca is the capital of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain , at a height of 946 m above sea level. The Population is about 53,500.
The economy was originally based on textile however today it is focused mainly on tourism, which has been boosted since its old town was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996.
Cuenca preserves an important historical and architectural heritage throughout the old city, where buildings such as the cathedral or the Hanging Houses stand out, which have become the icon of the city. Cuenca has a large number of museums in the old town. The most notable are the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art , the Museum of Sciences of Castilla-La Mancha , the Paleontological Museum of Castilla-La Mancha and the Cuenca Museum .
