On October 15th the Dining Out group event was held at Restaurante Maxim in Moraira. Maxim and Lola started the restaurant in 2016, and the group has held several events there over the past 8 years.
It has always been a very popular venue and so it was this time with nearly 80 diners enjoying a meal in the still, warm evening outside on the large welcoming terrace.
A glass of cava was given to the diners as they arrived, and after a canapé, bread and aioli, the diners had a wide and varied choice with 5 choices of each starter, main and dessert courses. The top choice of the starter was a delicious prawn and avocado dish which in various guises Maxim has had on his menu for many years. (He’s not been allowed to take it off!) The sea bass also received very high marks, and you could “taste the sea” in the lovely seafood and almond sauce. The red berry mousse on a pistachio cake base with vanilla ice cream was a big hit too.
The group enjoyed the evening very much because, as always at Maxim’s, the quality of food, service and presentation was first class, all produced at a very attractive price. That in itself makes for a very convivial atmosphere and the right setting for a great evening out with friends old and new.
