Discounts for U3A members

Additions to the list of stores and services below depends almost entirely on members negotiating and informing us of them. Please note that in order to provide members with information of worthwhile discounts, there is now a policy of only listing offers of at least 5% off normal charges.

You must be a fully paid-up member of the Moraira-Teulada U3A to obtain these discounts and your current Membership Card will be requested, and must be shown, before any order is placed. It is often impossible for companies to refund money once items have been ordered.

All the services and businesses offering us discounts were contacted in March 2012 in order to ascertain whether they are still in existence and are still providing us with their stated discount. If you notice items missing from this page that were previously included, it is because those businesses have either closed down or did not reply to our enquiries.

• Yetty Roumans,   tel 626 997 750, offers translation (including written) for doctor/hospital visits, or help with administration at Town Halls, Trafico etc. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch and is familiar with the local community and its customs. Normal rates are 25 euros per hour, discounted to 20 euros for U3A members (i.e. 20% discount). This includes her travel expenses.
